2020 Toyota Highlander: Redesigned and Reinvented to be a Market-All-Appealing Product

After the display of the 2020 Toyota Highlander at the New York Auto show we feel we need to also keep you informed ahead of its product launch and sales in December, 2019. This product leaves me speechless and I'll give my description below.

You notice a very spectacular difference in the grille design, quite different from its predecessor, this grille no longer come in horizontal grille lines. I personally find fault in the older model horizontal grille design which was made up of horizontal grille lines held by an inner verticals, less thick grille lines, this often breaks up at the joint of this line after several exposure to environmental heat and service impact. The new Geometric and lattice-spaced designed Grille looks quite appealing and fascinating. Thumbs up to the Toyota Manufacturing design team.
The Toyota logo on its grille reminds me of the Hammer3, with the new grille fashioned with a stretching wing, I'll rather say in my own thoughts "Toyota is passing a message that they are ready to fly". The Grille option will come with Chrome edges and it ain't just a Grille as it has a Bird-Eye view camera in its centre.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander comes with smaller Headlamps, but this undoubtedly isn't a disadvantage as "Smaller" has proved "Better" with its amazing bright LED Lights. The Basic Headlamp available on Base Option (Highlander L) is LED and higher Trims like LE, XLE, LIMITED, will even have the Headlamp Automatic in operation and the Top Trim- Platinum- will have the Headlamp with Swirvel and Automatic operation. This doesn't stand alone but it comes with Fog Lights that are LED type also.

Certainly there is great evolution visible on the Toyota Dashboard, this is because of the 12.3 inches of Touchscreen Infortainment Screen mounted at its centre, but this is available for Top Trim options only. Lower Trim however will not totally miss out but they'll have an 8 inches Infortainment screen also and this will carry basic features such as Apple-Play and Android IOS. The Infortainment will have enhanced connectivity and I believe it will certainly bring an ease to operation and Software update.

Toyota has had their 2GR-FE 3.5L V6 Engine running on most top trim Highlander sonce 2008 and 2020 model isn't an exception. The only exception is the provision made for varying powertrain option that will allow customer to either opt for the Hybrid Version or the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Version. Hybrid Version have their Nickel-metal Hydride Battery powered by the 2.5L 4 Cylinder 2AR-FE Toyota Engine, same Engine available in the 4 cylinder Camry and RAV4s. The 2.5L engine allow 240 horsepower to be generated and able to match up with an 8-Speed  Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that is either 2 wheel drive (2WD) or All Wheel Drive (AWD). The Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) or Gasoline powered Engine without the inverter option still generates its 295 horsepower and it is mounted with an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission available as 2WD or AWD.

The Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 will become a popular tag on its new generation products of Highlander, Camry, Corolla and it's Lexus products this is quite visible on the 2020 Highlander and it comes as a complete package for all Trim options. Some of the notable features are: Antilock Brake System, Enhance Vehicle Stability Control (VSC),  Electronic Brake Assist, Smart Stop Technology (SST), Brake Assist, Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Blind Spot Monitor, 360 degrees parking camera for the Platinum Trim, e.t.c.

The Toyota Highlander might have won the heart of potential buyers even before the release date or product launch in December 2019, price tag still stand above the previous 2019 model and with approximately #17,000,000 to #20,000,000 you can plan a budget to buy one, all things being equal.
Competing with the 2020 Toyota  Highlander are other 2020 products like Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder, Infinity QX60, Acura MDX, Ford Explorer, Kia Mohave, Chevrolet Traverse and Toyota-Lexus' very own Lexus RX L.
